What makes KIND2 so sustainable?
Because we care about the planet, we’ve covered all bases when it comes to making KIND2 solid shampoo bars and solid conditioner bars sustainable. Here are our eco action steps:
KIND2 uses sustainable, plastic free packaging
All our product and our delivery packaging is 100% plastic free and either compostable or recyclable. Yes, that also goes for the tape on our delivery boxes, which are made from recycled cardboard. What’s more, our product boxes are made in the UK using carbon balanced paper which supports the World Land Trust reducing our carbon footprint.
KIND2 is certified plastic free
Not only is our packaging plastic free, all our products have been certified 100% microplastic free “Zero Plastic Inside” by Plastic Soup Foundation.
It’s not only reducing plastic that we care about. The purity of our products is high on our list of sustainable priorities too, so all our ingredients are natural, or naturally derived. Accordingly, we don’t use any synthetic colours or fragrances (usually listed as parfum) and every ingredient in our bars is there to perform its own powerful, natural function.
All KIND2 products are vegan and cruelty free
Is animal welfare, or not contributing to the carbon footprint of animal agriculture, a non-negotiable principle for you? We’ve got you covered. All our products are both vegan and cruelty free.
There’s no water in our concentrated shampoo and conditioner bars
KIND2 solid shampoo bars and solid conditioner bars are concentrated. In fact, they contain no water. This makes them last at least twice as long as liquid shampoos, which is equivalent to saving 2 plastic bottles from being created. Sceptical? You might be swayed when you learn how much water is actually in bottled shampoo. The concentrated nature of our bars also means that producing them does not require excessive and unnecessary transportation of water. This conserves energy, water and your money!
We keep our carbon footprint light
Our plastic free shampoo and conditioner bars and product packaging are all manufactured in the UK. This means no overseas miles between them, their packaging and our UK-based customers. And the KIND2 HQ runs on renewable energy! We deliver through Royal Mail because it has an existing infrastructure.
We plant a tree for every order
We’ve partnered with Ecologi to plant a tree in Madagascar for every order. You can learn more about this wonderful project in our blog post here.
