All KIND2 shampoos and conditioners are made from high quality plant-based ingredients that benefit hair and scalp health, with natural colours and natural fragrances only. Not just plastic free - our products are palm free, vegan and cruelty free. We're proud that there's absolutely no harsh detergents, synthetic fragrances or colours in anything we make, but sometimes names can look scarier than they really are. Argania (Argan) Spinosa Kernel Oil
From the kernels of the argan tree, this oil is renowned for nourishing skin, smoothing and conditioning hair as it contains vitamin E and high levels of fatty acids.
Behentrimonium Chloride
From rapeseed oil, this wax helps to condition, detangle, de-frizz, soften and helps strengthen hair.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate
From rapeseed oil, it’s also known as BTMS. It’s a very mild, yet effective conditioner, creating a silky smooth feel.
Benzyl Alcohol
A plant based preservative used at a very low concentration for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Beswellia Serrata (Frankincense) Oil
From the resin of the Boswellia Serrata tree. This oil has anti-inflammatory properties and a delightful woody or spicy smell.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Oil
From the nut of the African shea tree. Lighter than shea butter and being rich in fatty acids, it’s great for adding shine.
Calcium Bentonite, Sunstone Powder
Also known as Australian washed blue clay, it is used for washing impurities away as it regulates sebum flow and cleanses hair follicles. It provides the colour of The Restoring One.
Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil
From the camellia tree, it’s also known as tea seed oil and is used for moisturising your scalp, conditioning and strengthening hair.
Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil
Cold pressed from hemp seeds, this oil is high in fatty acids and benefits include hair strengthening and alleviating scalp dryness.
Cetyl Alcohol
From coconuts, this is a waxy ingredient used for conditioning and softening.
CI 75810 (Natural Colourant)
Naturally derived from chlorophyll, a green pigment found in plants. It provides the colour of The Sensitive One.
Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin) Peel Oil
Made from the rind of the mandarin fruit. This sweet, floral citrus oil is believed to improve the circulation of blood and lymph, promoting new cell growth plus adding shine to hair.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
A coconut derived cleanser for thickening and creating foam when it comes into contact with water.
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil
From coconuts, you probably already know that it’s great nourishment for hair and scalp. It’s been used as a natural remedy for thousands of years.
Coffea Arabica Seed Oil
Also known as Coffee (bean) Butter is highly moisturising and soothing for irritated or dry skin/ scalp. It includes a high concentration of Polyphenol Chlorogenic Acid which is a powerful anti-oxidant.
Charcoal Powder
Sustainable UK sourced charcoal from upcycled fencing offcuts. Charcoal is used for its oil absorbency, cleansing & detoxifying properties. It gives our new shampoo bar, The Rebalancing One its lovely natural grey colour.
Decyl Glucoside
From coconuts, this is a surfactant so helps clean and create foam.
Eucalyptus Radiata Flower/Leaf/Stem Oil
From the leaves of this Australian native tree, the fragrance is pleasant and fresh. It has both anti-fungal and antiseptic properties that help with itchy or flaky scalps.
Fullers Earth
A clay which absorbs oil and impurities, it also helps soothe flaky scalps.
Glyceryl Stearate SE
A palm-free stabiliser and emulsifier derived from olive and coconut oil.
Glycerin
From rapeseed oil, for hydrating your hair and scalp.
llite
Also known as French Clay, it helps to remove product build-up from the scalp and strands, while eliminating dead cells, flakiness, and excess oil. It provides the colour of The Hydrating One.
Kaolin
Also known as China Clay, it’s a fine powder which is gentle and oil absorbing.
Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil
Distilled from the flowers of the Lavandula Angustifolia. A floral fragrance known for its soothing and calming properties on humans and dogs.
Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate
A natural preservative created by fermenting radish roots with bacteria.
Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil
From the nuts of this Australian native tree, this light and easily absorbed oil contains high amounts of fatty acids and also contains squalene, which is a natural antioxidant.
Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Seed Oil
An oil pressed from the fruit and seeds of the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica) which is native to India. Used for centuries as a natural remedy for skin problems, it is soothing and acts as a natural insect repellent in our dog shampoo bar.
Melaleuca Ericifolia (Rosalina) Leaf Oil
From the leaves of this Australian native tree, the fragrance is fresh, with subtle lemony and floral tones. It is a gentle oil with anti-bacterial properties.
Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Essential Oil
From the leaves of the peppermint plant, the fragrance is, well … minty and fresh. It’s great for clarifying and stimulating your scalp and is one of the fragrance oils we use in The Rebalancing One shampoo bar.
Montmorillonite
A clay named after its founding city in France, it contains a range of beneficial minerals which help with soothing your scalp and skin. It provides the pink colour of The Hydrating One and the green colour for The Dog One.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5)
Helps your hair retain moisture by sealing the cuticle, enhancing shine and glossiness.
Potassium Sorbate
Derived from potassium salt, used as a preservative in our dog shampoo bars.
Rosmarinus (Rosemary) Officinalis Leaf Oil
Extracted from the flowers and leaves of Rosemary, a plant native to the Mediterranean. Our essential oil is sourced from Spain. Rosemary has been used both as a culinary and healing herb for centuries. It’s stimulating to the scalp which promotes hair health and growth.
Salicylic Acid
A preservative from the bark of willow trees.
Salvia Hispanica (Chia) Seed Oil
From the seeds of this Central American native tree, chia seed oil is rich in fatty acids, protein and zinc to promote hair health and growth.
Sodium Benzoate
Sodium salt of benzoic acid, used as a natural preservative in our dog shampoo bars.
Sorbic Acid
A plant based preservative used at a very low concentration for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Sodium Coco-Sulfate
A high foaming cleanser naturally derived from coconuts, sometimes called SCS. We use a source which is palm free (not all SCS is) as a secondary surfactant in The Rebalancing One to give it extra lather. SCS not the same as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) - it is milder and uses the whole coconut rather than just the lauric acid. This means SCS has a larger molecular structure that prevents it from penetrating skin and therefore less likely to cause irritation.
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
A rich, creamy and gentle foaming cleanser made from coconuts. It is biodegradable and highly effective in both soft and hard water.
Stearic Acid
A plant based emulsifier that is used to condition and thicken. We are using a palm free source.
Stearyl Alcohol
From coconuts, it is soothing, softening and de-tangling.
Theobroma Cacao (Seed) Butter
Also known as cocoa butter, this is a fat from the roasted cocoa bean. It is a highly effective natural moisturiser and conditioner which is rich in anti-oxidants.
Yucca Schidigera Leaf/Root/Stem Extract
From the native Mexican plant, a natural cleansing and foaming agent Yucca soothes and nourishes the scalp.
