HOW TO USE
Solid Shampoo Bars
- Wet both the shampoo bar and your hair
- Apply the bar directly to your wet hair
- Massage the shampoo bar into your scalp until it forms a gentle lather, work into the roots
- Rinse your hair thoroughly before using your favourite KIND2 solid conditioner bar (if required)
HOW TO STORE
Keep your bars cool and dry
When stored correctly, your shampoo and conditioner bars will remain solid, dry and keep their shape. Better still, they will last 2-3 times longer than a standard bottle of liquid shampoo or conditioner.

All KIND2 shampoo bars are pH balanced and have been created specifically to perform well in hard (alkaline water) with no transition period. If you prefer higher foaming shampoo bars or you live in an area with very hard water, then we'd recommend The Rebalancing One.
Avoid using soap based bars in hard water, as you will an unpleasant experience a waxy residue. Learn more about why here.
pH balanced shampoo bars are like concentrated versions of the liquid shampoo that you are probably used to. They include plant based cleansers which work to remove oil and dirt when combined with water. Wet the bar and your hair, apply the bar directly, massage into a lather and rinse. Depending on your hair, you may need to use a conditioner bar to detangle and nourish.
They might look like soap, but they’re not. Our solid haircare bars are made with gentle coconut cleansers and plant based oils, pH balanced to your scalp and hair. Soap is made by saponification which creates a bar that has a high or alkaline pH that’s not good for hair.
All of our shampoo bars are formulated to a pH level of between 5.0 and 6.5. This means they are close to the natural pH of your hair which minimises irritation and there is no “transition” period or vinegar rinse required.

We’re happy to say that we don’t use any palm oil or palm oil derivatives in our shampoo or conditioner bars. If you want to avoid palm oil - look out for not just the word palm in the ingredient list but also Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate, as it’s commonly found in cheaper bars.

Yes, all our shampoo bars are formulated to be colour safe and they won’t strip or fade your dyed hair. Coloured or highlighted hair can be dry or porous, so it needs gentler cleansing ingredients to prevent fading and oils to protect and smooth.
The Rebalancing One works best for oily or greasy hair with a combination of ingredients which help break the cycle of over-production oil that can be created by harsh detergents in some liquid shampoos. It’s formulated to clean without stripping your natural oils.
Curly hair tends to be dry and caring for it requires gentle cleansing, preferably without harsh sulphates or silicones. The Hydrating One shampoo bar is not only formulated with curls in mind, it is pH balanced (between 5.5 - 6) plus contains Cocoa Butter and hair loving oils of Coconut, Hemp Seed and Macadamia.
All KIND2 shampoo bars are formulated to be gentle and suitable for children aged 3 and over.
Children have delicate skin that can be irritated by fragrances (sometimes called parfum) and synthetic dyes, we don’t use either.
